Photography as Sacred Storytelling
Documenting the magic, the emotion and everything in between.

THANK YOU!
Hi Carey,
I’ve been meaning to write and tell you how much we love the photos! I’ve probably looked at them 5,000 times now—and every time, I spot some new hilarious or beautiful detail. Everyone we’ve shared them with has said the same thing: you captured the feel of the wedding perfectly. And you caught so many lovely moments!
As we first looked through them, I kept hearing the voices of the people in the photos pop into my mind. It reminded me of Bernini’s idea of a “speaking likeness”—the idea that capturing someone just as they’re about to speak, or when they’ve just spoken, reveals their character. You managed to capture the people we love most in the world truly being themselves, and I can’t thank you enough for that. Your photos will be among our dearest possessions for the rest of our lives.
Thank you again. We’re so grateful you were part of our wedding.
Warmly,
Anne & Nick
P.S. We used the lobster claw hand-holding photo for our thank-you cards. We both love that one way too much.

A little bit about me
I'm a photographer and fine artist based in New York City and available to travel worldwide. My images are a blend of formal photographic training and a passion for telling stories with pictures. I specialize in capturing the natural, candid moments and directing iconic cinematic scenes. I believe a wedding day deserves to be documented beautifully, as a sacred testament to love and life; recorded with the same care and compassion that two individuals in love have for one another.
With eighteen years of wedding photography experience behind me, I've developed a sense for capturing the essence, rhythm and energy of every wedding I photograph. I see myself as a channel for the magic swirling all around us. My goal is make myself available in body, mind and spirit for the story of your day to be told through me.
